Carpentry & Construction
Carpentry & Construction
Our flagship and leading program introduces students to construction fundamentals, framing,
measurements, blueprint reading, tool safety, drywall, flooring, painting, and basic renovation
skills. Participants gain hands-on experience while learning directly from skilled professionals
and contractors. This program is designed to prepare students for careers in residential and
commercial construction industries.
Automotive
Carpentry & Construction
This program provides foundational knowledge in automotive maintenance, diagnostics, brakes,
automotive repair environments while building skills for entry-level employment opportunities in
the automotive industry.
Cosmetology
Serve Safe & Hospiltality
Our Cosmetology Training Program introduces students to hair care, barbering
fundamentals, natural hair styling, braiding, skincare, nail care, sanitation practices,
customer service, and salon professionalism. Participants gain hands-on experience
while learning industry techniques, entrepreneurship skills, and state board preparation
fundamentals.
Serve Safe & Hospiltality
Serve Safe & Hospiltality
Participants are trained in customer service, food handling, food safety, hospitality operations,
professionalism, and workplace communication. Students also have opportunities to obtain
ServSafe certifications to prepare for careers in restaurants, hotels, catering, and hospitality
industries.
Culinary
Audio Engineering
Our Culinary Arts program provides hands-on training in food preparation, kitchen safety, sanitation, customer service, and professional cooking techniques. Students gain industry-recognized skills and real-world experience to prepare for careers in restaurants, catering, hospitality, and food service.

Audio Engineering
Students are introduced to music recording, audio engineering, sound production, studio setup,
editing, mixing, beat production, and creative development. This program allows youth to
explore career opportunities within the entertainment and music industries while developing
technical and creative skills.

Registered Apprenticeship
Memphis Dream Builders Training Center
Our mission is to prepare individuals for successful careers through high-quality training, hands-on experience, and industry partnerships. To ensure that each participant is prepared for the responsibilities of apprenticeship, all applicants must complete the admissions process outlined below.
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 is required at the time of application submission. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with processing applications, reviewing documentation, and assessing applicant eligibility. Submission of the application fee does not guarantee admission into the apprenticeship program.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants must:
- Be at least 16 years of age (or meet the minimum age requirement for the selected apprenticeship program).
- Complete and submit the official Memphis Dream Builders Apprenticeship Application.
- Pay the required $25.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Provide valid government-issued identification.
- Meet any additional program-specific requirements.
Pre-Admission Screening Process
All applicants must successfully complete the following screening requirements before advancing to the interview stage: Drug Screen, Background Check, Online Career Readiness Assessment, Application Review and personal Interview
